By registering for, purchasing, or participating in any service offered by The Focused Actor (“TFA”), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

GENERAL TERMS (APPLIES TO ALL SERVICES)

 

Educational Purpose Only

• All TFA services are for educational purposes only. Participation does not guarantee employment, representation, auditions, or career outcomes.

 

Payment

• Full payment (or an agreed-upon payment plan) is required to secure participation in any TFA service. Registration is not confirmed until payment is received.

 

Code of Conduct & Learning Environment

• The Focused Actor strives to maintain a safe, respectful, and professional learning environment for all.

• Harassment, discrimination, bullying, abusive language, or harmful behavior outside the scope of acting work is not tolerated.

• Due to the nature of acting training, some material explored in class—including scripts, sides, improvisations, or discussions—may involve emotionally sensitive or challenging subject matter. Participants are encouraged to communicate honestly if they feel uncomfortable and to reach out to TFA staff with any concerns.

• While challenging material may arise within the context of the work, inappropriate behavior, boundary violations, or conduct that undermines the safety or integrity of the learning environment will not be tolerated.

• TFA reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove any participant whose behavior violates these standards or disrupts the learning environment.

• Removal results in forfeiture of access without refund, credit, or transfer.

• TFA’s decision is final.

 

Cancellations, Rescheduling & Required Communication

• All cancellations, rescheduling requests, and changes must be submitted in writing via email to contact@thefocusedactor.com to be valid for any stated cancellation window.

• Text messages to +1-323-992-4351 are appreciated as a courtesy but do not count toward cancellation or rescheduling timelines unless accompanied by email confirmation.

• Participants are responsible for reviewing the Service-Specific Terms below, which outline deadlines, refunds, credits, and access rules for each offering.

 

Late Arrivals, No-Shows & Emergency Exceptions

• Late arrivals may or may not be permitted, depending on the service (see Service-Specific Terms).

• When permitted, late arrivals do not receive extended time or special accommodation.

• Sessions do not extend beyond their scheduled end time.

• No-shows are forfeited unless otherwise stated.

• Emergency exceptions may be considered at TFA’s discretion but are not guaranteed.

• Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may result in restricted access to future TFA services or priority registration.

 

Purchases & Refunds

• All sales are final unless otherwise stated in the applicable Service-Specific Terms.

• Services, bundles, and credits are non-refundable and not redeemable for cash.

• Credits cannot be applied retroactively to past purchases.

 

Cancellations by TFA

• If TFA cancels a session or service, participants will receive a reschedule, credit, or equivalent alternative. Refunds are issued only where explicitly stated or required by law.

 

Changes to Services or Terms

• TFA may update offerings, pricing, schedules, or these Terms at any time.

• Existing purchases will be honored under the Terms in effect at the time of purchase.

 

Program Materials & Recording

• Any materials provided are for personal use only and may not be shared, distributed, or resold.

• Participants may not record (audio or video) any TFA class, session, workshop, or program without prior written permission from TFA.

 

Liability

• Participants attend and participate at their own risk.

• TFA is not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage incurred during participation.

 

 

PRIVACY POLICY

 

Information We Collect

• We collect basic information such as name, email address, and payment details when you register or purchase services.

 

How We Use It

• Process registrations and payments

• Send confirmations, updates, and scheduling information

• Communicate about relevant TFA offerings

 

What We Don’t Do

• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.

 

Email Communication

• By registering, you agree to receive emails related to your purchase and occasional updates.

• You may unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time.

 

Payment Security

• Payments are processed through secure third-party platforms.

• TFA does not store credit card information.

 

 

RECORDING, PHOTO & PROMOTIONAL USE

 

• TFA sessions may be recorded or photographed.

  • By participating, you acknowledge that your image, likeness, and/or voice may be used for:

    • Educational purposes

    • Promotional purposes (including website, social media, and marketing materials)

• If you do not wish to be included in promotional use, notify TFA in writing at contact@thefocusedactor.com.

• If you opt out at any time, TFA will stop using your likeness in future promotional materials.

 

 

 

SERVICE-SPECIFIC TERMS

 

SELF-TAPE AUDIT

Credit Option

• The $19 USD fee may be applied as a credit toward any Focus Lab or Workshop within 90 days.

 

Cancellation & Rescheduling

• 12+ hours notice: Full refund or reschedule

• Less than 12 hours: No refund; one-time reschedule or credit (90 days)

• No-shows: Forfeited (no refund, no credit)

 

 

AUDITION, CAREER & ON COACHING

 

Cancellation & Rescheduling

• 12+ hours notice required

• Less than 12 hours: Session forfeited

 

 

WORKSHOPS

 

Registration

Registration closes 24 hours before start or when full.

 

Cancellation & Refunds

• 7+ days before: Full refund or credit

• 3–6 days before: 50% refund or full credit

• Less than 72 hours: No refund; credit at TFA’s discretion

• No-shows: No refund, no credit

 

Transfers

• Registration may be transferred to another person up to 24 hours before the workshop.

• Transfers within 24 hours are not permitted.

• Email contact@thefocusedactor.com with the new participant’s details.

 

 

FOCUS LABS

 

Registration

• Registration closes 24 hours before the session or when capacity is reached.

 

Single-Session Cancellations

• 48+ hours before: Full refund or credit

• Less than 48 hours: No refund; credit at TFA’s discretion

• No-shows: No refund, no credit

 

Bundle Holders

• Priority Registration

  • Focus Lab bundle holders must email TFA when the priority registration window opens to reserve their spot.

  • Failure to email during the priority window does not guarantee access once public registration opens.

• Kickstart & Momentum Bundles

  • Cancel 48+ hours before: Credit returned

  • Late cancel/no-show: Credit forfeited

• Total Focus Bundle

  • The Total Focus Bundle provides access, not per-session credits.

  • If you do not attend a Focus Lab or Focus Room session, that session is forfeited.

  • Notify TFA at least 48 hours in advance if you cannot attend.

• One-Time Transfer (Total Focus Only)

  • Total Focus Bundle holders may request one (1) transfer of a Focus Lab or Focus Room session to another individual.

  • Requests must be submitted at least 48 hours in advance via email.

  • This option exists to provide flexibility and may not be used to split or share bundle access.

  • Additional transfers are not permitted.

 

 

FOCUS ROOM

 

Registration

• Opens 2 weeks prior

• Closes 30 minutes before start

• Capacity limited to 10 participants

 

Attendance

• Doors close 5 minutes after start. Late entry is not permitted.

 

Session Length

• 5+ attendees: 2 hours

• Fewer than 5: 1 hour

 

Cancellations

• Cancel 30+ minutes before to retain access

• Late cancellation or no-show forfeits the session

 

Bundle Holders

• Focus Room bundle holders receive a coupon code to register themselves through the booking system.

• Failure to register or attend does not guarantee access restoration.

 

 

 

F.O.C.U.S. PROGRAM (6–8 WEEKS)

 

Registration

• Enrollment closes 48 hours before program start or when capacity is reached.

 

Cancellations Before Start

• 7+ days before: Full refund or credit

• 3–6 days before: 50% refund or full credit

• Less than 72 hours: No refund; credit at TFA’s discretion

 

Attendance

• All sessions are live.

• Missed classes cannot be made up, rescheduled, transferred, or refunded.

• Withdrawal from the program does not entitle participants to refunds or credits.
